Purpose of the Project Management Panel
The purpose of the Infrastructure Project Management Panel is to make a significant and measurable contribution to improve infrastructure project management awareness, knowledge and expertise in NSW. This may be achieved by asking Industry Leaders, Experts, Stakeholders and Young IPWEA to share challenges, issues, worries, experience and knowledge to discuss critical project planning matters faced by IPWEA NSW and its members on previous, present and future projects.

Objectives of the Project Management Panel
To develop IPWEA NSW policy on infrastructure project management matters of relevance
To raise government awareness (at all levels) of the IPWEA NSW position on infrastructure project management issues including providing recommendations for government inquiries or when specific action may be required
To increase awareness of infrastructure project management practice amongst IPWEA NSW membership, council staff, councillors, external practitioners and the community
To enhance expertise in infrastructure project management practice amongst IPWEA NSW membership, council staff, councillors and external practitioners
Develop the knowledge and skillset of the IPWEA NSW members in infrastructure project management techniques by creating an environment and conditions in which to achieve a particular goal or objective in a controlled manner by offering training in leadership, effective communication, negotiation, conflict management, planning and problem solving
