The final report provides information about the: Value and performance of regional roads and bridges controlled by local councils in NSW. Shortfall in funding required to bring these assets to a satisfactory condition. And the level of practice for managing regional and local road and bridge assets

Survey Now Open for the 2024 Road Asset Benchmarking Project

The Road Asset Benchmarking Project has been conducted by the Roads & Transport Directorate biennially since 2006.

We use this data to support our advocacy work which was instrumental in establishing the Fixing Country Roads and Fixing Country Bridges grant programs, which is why it is vital to get as much Council participation as possible.

The below guide provides instructions in completing the Road Asset Benchmarking survey. Alternatively to the guide, the video below is also available to assist you. We recommend an Asset Manager/Engineer completes the survey.
