Membership contributions are based on the size of Council. To ensure equity of contributions, Councils are placed into six Groups according to their Australian Local Government Classifications.
The Directorate participates on various government agency working groups, such as Farm Gate Access Project, Level Crossing Working Group, RMCC Steering Committee, Southern Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils.
Also, the Directorate provides valuable feedback on Austroads projects in the areas of pavement technology, road safety, temporary traffic management and asset management.
